Words of Wisdom

Pinterest had always been a mystery to me, but I created a Lunchbox Babies account when I started the blog. I have discovered that I LOVE me some Pinterest. The recipes are great and my version is edible, although my finished product looks nothing like the pretty pictures. And, I am smart enough to not try any of the DIY/Martha Stewart projects. I will always finish it, but I guarantee that 90% of the time it will look like a three-year-old exploded something in my kitchen rather than the amazing picture that they try to tempt you with! I have learned to save the picture, and then search for it at Target. Self-preservation, friends.

So, Pinterest is also filled with quotes that are meant to inspire or encourage you. I ran across these words of wisdom the other day, and my mouth just dropped. THIS IS EXACTLY what I want to say to people that are grieving infertility or a miscarriage. When you are in that HEAVY moment, you can’t see the forest for the trees. Everything is hard, everything is horrible. People tell you it will get better, but WHEN? Then, one day you look back, and realize you are out of the fog. That you are finding yourself again.

Please read these amazing words of wisdom below. This can pertain to ANYTHING and EVERYONE. So, please pass on if you feel someone in your life needs to read this. XO

Please hear me, girl:

It gets better.

I wish that I could tell you the exact day of the week that the sun will begin to shine again, but I can’t.

It’s gradual. You’ll feel lighter a little more each day. Your heart will begin to put itself back together piece by piece. Eventually, one day you’ll look in the mirror and recognize yourself again.

But the thing that people often get wrong is this . . . Time isn’t your healer. Jesus is.

It doesn’t matter if years pass, though it may look like the rainy days are behind you, you know that the clouds can burst at any moment.

But with Jesus, he digs into the deepest parts of your soul and doesn’t “fix you”, he makes you new again.

So hold onto hope that where you are, isn’t where you’ll always be.

God’s got bigger plans for you.
