Friday Favorites: I LOVE Target

I love this edition of Friday Favorites, because, well, I LOVE TARGET!  If you ever need to get me a gift, just go ahead and send me a gift card to Target.  It will get used!  And, if you are a Dallas reader, a Target boutique store is opening in Preston Center on October 21st.  I have no idea what a Target boutique will look like, but I can’t wait to find out!  This is just a silly Friday Favorites, which is the best.

My local Target has seen me at my best and at my worst.  Let’s be honest, usually at my very worst with no make up and a baseball cap over dirty hair.  I have wondered the aisles with a cup of coffee the first time out of the house after having a baby.  I have purchased more pregnancy tests from Target than I care to mention, and I have taken them in the bathroom full of anxiety and tears.  I have carried a screaming child out of Target a time or two.  And, I like everyone, have had “Tide Sport” on my list and ended up spending $275 worth of workout clothes, new stationary, random household decorations, and half of the dollar aisle. Don’t deny it.  You have been there!

Oh, and I LOVE that they sell wine there now.  Really great prices too.  A bartender would have been a nice choice, but at least they have a Starbucks.  #lifesaver

Since starting this blog, I have spoken not only to women currently struggling with infertility, but also to women that have struggled and have finally just had their miracle baby.  In my congratulations message back to them, I always tell them to take a moment for themselves, go to Target, get a Starbucks, and walk the aisles alone.  That may sound SO weird to so many of you, but I know several friends that will GET IT! There is nothing like a quiet roam through Target that can change your day.

I have found myself on some quick trips to Target recently, and I have to say that the place is amazing.  They always have fun things you can’t find elsewhere, and the prices are always on point.  Here are my latest favorites.  I included pictures and links for you to check these things out for yourselves.

FALL DECORATIONS HAVE ARRIVED!

If you haven’t been to Target in the last couple of weeks, the dollar aisle is FULL of fun fall holiday items! These cute little pumpkins come in green, orange and white.  $1 EACH! I bought out the white ones.  Sorry! The Target dollar aisle gets better and better!

fall blankets and throws

I love when the fall/winter items start popping up at Target.  It means that it is ALMOST CHRISTMAS . . . my all time favorite time of the year.  What is better than football, cool weather, AND Christmas decorations?!?!? Threshold has a new fall line of blankets and throws.  They are so soft, come in a variety of colors, and only $14.99.  This is the perfect gift for several people in my life.  You can click here if you want to check it out!

coffee mugs

I LOVE this mug! Jackson got it for me as a little treat last Spring, and I use it almost every day.  It is jumbo . . . 27 ounces!  And, only $5.99.

This mug is the same size and the same price, and it cracks me up! Someone tell Reid to get this for me.

riedel wine glasses

I say “Riedel” like Riddell High from Grease.  I am about 95% sure that isn’t correct, but I’m not sure if I can make myself pronounce it correctly. Target has expanded the line of Riedel glasses that they carry, and earlier this week several were on sale! I love these glasses.  They are beautiful and highly durable.  True story: My sister-in-law and I were having a late night dance party on my kitchen island counter over last Thanksgiving.  I accidentally dropped my glass of red wine onto the counter from the standing position, and it did not break! My living room had red wine EVERYWHERE, but the glass stayed intact.  Durable glasses! Don’t judge me too badly on that story!

the best t-shirts!

These are the softest t-shirts EVER!  I normally wear a 4/6, but get these in an XL so that I can sleep in them.  I’d go smaller if I wanted to wear them out and about.  If you need some SOFT lounge wear, go check these out. Oh, and they are only $12.99!

bath bombs

My kids LOVE a good bath bomb.  I have seen these same bombs at toy stores, and they are twice the price as they are at Target! These are $4.99, and each comes with a fun treat inside.  They smell great too! My kids love the Earth bomb the best!

gluten free cornbread

Y’all! When you get diagnosed with Celiacs and go gluten free, sometimes you just deal with having to give up certain things.  I still mourn friend chicken from time to time.  This cornbread kit is AMAZING! All ingredients are portioned out and packaged up.  No fuss at all, super easy.  And, super yummy!

neutrogena hydro boost mask

I had a friend call this week asking about a certain product because I am always game to try anything! This new mask caught my eye this week, and I had to try it out.  It is kind of messy, but hydrates your skin so very well.  Filled with hyaluronic acid, and easy on the pocket book.  This would be a great mask to use when you get back home from a trip and your face is super dry from traveling!

planners and notebooks

I put every date and important task into my phone.  I am not a paper planner girl.  But, ever since starting this blog, I do like to plan out certain blog related items, and see them written down on paper.  And, I like making lists.  I mean, who doesn’t? Target has THE best, inexpensive planners and notebooks.  I love my new notebook that says “Wild Ideas”.  Lunchbox Babies was a wild idea, so I had to get this book!

I know that there are MANY, MANY, MANY other items that I could chat about, but I didn’t want to make the Friday Favorites post TOO long! If you have anything that you love from Target, please let me know! And, please know that I will be shouting from the rooftops when Christmas arrives on the Target aisles.  I think we are getting close!  Have a great weekend! XO
