Spot Light: Braving Infertility Together

One of the things that I have LOVED about the Lunchbox Babies community is getting to meet other women that are out there trying to help women through their infertility journeys. People just like me that have taken their own experiences and are using them to try and help others. Love meeting these people!

Earlier this year, a mutual friend (Thanks Kelsey!!) introduced me to the amazing Sarah Ivy of Braving Infertility Together.

Sarah has dealt with her share of infertility. Infertility testing and procedures, embryo donation, miscarriage, and the birth of her precious baby girl, Charlotte. Her joy is infectious, and her determination to help women on the road of infertility and loss is strong.

In June of 2016, Sarah and Dr. Juli Westcott created this amazing non-profit organization. Braving Infertility Together provides both in-person and online support for its members. There are multiple group meetings held monthly through the DFW Metroplex, and they believe that true healing comes through living life together! Amen, sisters!

Sarah attended another infertility support group several years ago and was told that if and when she became pregnant, she would be unable to continue within the group. Feeling a little annoyed about that, she slowly began a new group. Both Sarah and Juli felt that we heal by walking this road together. And they began celebrating ALL of the joys and the heartbreaks with the growing group of women that were also struggling to have a family.

Today, Braving Infertility Together offers various social events, education conferences, retreats, virtual and in person meetings and 24/7 online support to bring women together. There is an AMAZING event coming up October 5th, and I am so excited to be a part of it! The Brave At Heart 5K/10K and Fun Run brings together families of all types to raise awareness and funds to support the infertility community.

Please check out Sarah and Juli’s website at www.bravingit.org

If you would like to join a support group or get involved in another way, please let us know.  AND, I hope to see you at the Brave at Heart race this fall!

XOXO
