Friday Favorites: Bring on the Cheeseburgers!

Happy Friday! Super random Friday Favorites post today, but this is such a fun look into a crazy project our family has been working on!

If you know me well, you know that most of my life has included different health fads. Atkins Diet? Done it. South Beach? Done it. Keto? Intermittent Fasting? Juicing? Done all of it!

One thing that I have NEVER taken out of my diet? CHEESEBURGERS! Yes, please! Now that I have Celiac Disease, my cheeseburgers are lettuce wrapped. But, they still have bacon and I still dip them in the perfect mixture of mayo and ketchup. YUM!

Each year at our precious little school, the boys have to do a project for Grandparent’s Day. Over the years, we have built roller coasters, created the Texas flag out of Legos, documented how to take care of your new puppy, among other things.

This year, Jackson – because he is so clearly his mama’s child – wanted to rank the best cheeseburgers in Dallas.

So, we have spent the last month eating a TON of cheeseburgers. And, let me say, I am not sad about it. AT ALL!

We have eaten cheeseburgers from Whataburger to the Four Seasons. A giant scale of goodness.

For Jackson’s project, he decided to pick his four favorites in Dallas and drill down with a ranking scale that includes restaurant atmosphere, burger juiciness, overall taste, etc.

So, for my RANDOM Friday Favorites post, here are the “Top Four Cheeseburgers in Dallas”. If you aren’t in Dallas, come visit one of these places and get your burger on!

HOPDODDY

Yummy! Is Hopdoddy just a Texas thing? Not sure. Super casual atmosphere with TVs everywhere playing ESPN. A total winner for this guy. And, the chalk wall where he can write “GO TCU” also made this place a winner. Because, if you bleed purple, you clearly need to tell people. All the time. #brainwashed #ponyup

CHIP’S

Jackson would eat a cheeseburger at Chip’s every single day if I let him. And, it is not because the burger is the best in the world. It is because they have a small arcade and Jackson is addicted to it. I have spent more money on tokens at Chip’s than I have on the food. Good one, Chip’s.

Liberty Burger

Easy, family friendly, and inexpensive. We grab this for take out a bunch when we are running between sports! I feel like these are all over the place, so check out if one is in your town and go enjoy!

Hudson House

I LOVE Hudson House. I think that this is hands down the BEST burger in town. Here is the thing . . . not kid-friendly. Of course, my kids don’t really get that and are there a couple of times a month. So, so yummy! AND . . . Hudson House has happy hour everyday from 4pm – 6pm where their burgers are half off. Great deal!

*******

That’s it. Super random, and now I am hungry. Putting Central Market on my TO DO list for the day to get burger stuff.

Have a great weekend! If you need me tonight, we will be hanging out as a family with Reid grilling burgers. Pretty pumped about my current addiction! XO
