Binge-Watching: Quarantine Edition

Happy Monday, friends! As the Beucler crew is starting our 5th week in quarantine over here, I have realized that we are killing it at the TV game. Lots of fun movies and shows being discovered over here.

With the boys . . . we have watched all of the Harry Potters and are currently working our way through all of the Star Wars in chronological order. On the menu for tonight? The Force Awakens.

For Reid and I . . . we have watched all of the Hunger Games movies. Sadly, we finished Tiger King. Still so disturbed by that entire documentary, but it seems like everyone is watching that during quarantine. We (mostly Reid) have watched all of Jack Ryan, I think. And, our favorite show on TV – Manifest – has ended for the season.

So . . . what to watch? Reid and I have struggled to find something we love together recently.

He is OBSESSED with Ozark. Me? Not so much. I think he has three more episodes left in this most recent season. The guy is obsessed with this show. Maybe I should give it another try?

I LOVE Schitt’s Creek. LOVE IT! I am working my way through the last season, and I am already sad that it is ending. Such a fun show. Reid isn’t a fan, so it is an easy show to watch while he is getting his Ozark fix.

So, a couple of weeks ago, I asked the social media world to HELP us find a new show to watch together. And . . . WOWZA! I got so many amazing recommendations. I am including them here for all of you, since I know that so many people are in the same boat! There are 79 shows listed here, and the shows in bold had multiple people recommend them! These shows come from a mixture of Netflix, Hulu, Apple +, HBO, Showtime, and Amazon Prime.

We tried an episode of both The Morning Show and Marvelous Mrs. Mazel. I think he would say that he was a bit indifferent to both. I enjoyed them, and think I will dive into them at some point. Especially The Morning Show . . . love the cast.

Randomly, due to our love for Bill Hader, Reid and I decided to try out Barry. Episodes are 30 minutes long, and I would say this show falls into the dark comedy genre.

Basic overview . . . Barry is a veteran Marine that fought in Afghanistan. When he came back, he didn’t know what to do with his life. So, he became a hitman. And worked for a family friend. All is well until he joins an acting class to research his newest hit, and falls in love with acting. Such a RANDOM story line, but so entertaining. Definitely on the Barry bandwagon! Check it out, and let me know your thoughts.

Check out the list below, and find something to add to your Quarantine Binge List! Let me know if there is a show that you love on here. Would love to hear your thoughts, and get a few others ready to go for us in the coming weeks!
