Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! Woohoo . . . it’s the weekend! Almost!

AND . . . it is Christmas time!!! Have I mentioned that I love all things about Christmas?

Side note: We have an advent calendar in our house that I fill with daily tasks or fun things to do. Today’s task was “List 3 things that you love about your mom, dad, and brother. Plan to share at dinner tonight”. How do you think that went over? HA!!! Jackson said “I’m not doing that” and Harlan said “No thanks, that’s weird!” HA!!!! Ah, the Christmas spirit. Looking forward to hearing their lists tonight. Yes, I may have threatened their Christmas gifts. 😊

Friday Favorites post coming in hot today, y’all . . .

ONE

The week of Thanksgiving, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, wrote an article in the New York Times about experiencing a miscarriage over the summer. A dear friend sent me the link, and friends . . . this is a powerful piece. While it does have to do with her miscarriage and the gutting heartbreak surrounding that experience, it also talks to the year we have had and being there for each other. Reid and I loved her in Suits back in the day, and then she took over my dream of being a real life princess, so I have always been a fan. But, this article is raw, beautiful, and filled with purpose. Click here to read it, and please share!

TWO

Do any of you get emotional when your kids go see Santa? It’s like Christmas magic punching you in the face, and your eyes just start to water? Just me!? The Santa at our local mall is clearly the real Santa. True story. The man just looks in my direction, and I want to ask why he never brought me the turquoise suede jacket with fringe that I asked for for years. I take the boys every year. Have never missed one. Until this year! BOO! Our sweet Santa is virtual from the North Pole due to Covid issues, so no picture for us in 2020. Y’all . . . even Harlan was bummed! I am clearly raising people as obsessed with Christmas as I am! We will resume the tradition in 2021, but for now, here is my favorite picture from 2012. Jackson is showing you tears of joy! 😊

THREE

Thanks to my friend, Lee, over at Do Say Give for introducing me to the Dallas-based Allie + Bess. Two Dallas moms have created this jewelry company, and they have some amazing items. Loving my bracelets below, and excited to do some Christmas shopping with them. Click here to check out their website. My new GO TO for some gift items! OH . . . and they are currently offering 15% off your first order. AND . . . their “Last Chance” page has some very cool stuff on sale! Check them out!

FOUR

You know that I love products, and if you tell me that something works, I will dive right in. The amazing Kathleen Jennings talks about the liquid collagen from Modere all the time. Her hair growth since using this product is insanely good. And, I’m not just talking about the length. I am also talking about new hair growth where thinning had really started to take hold. Y’all know that I have some issues with my hair, so I ordered this bad boy ASAP! You take 1 T once in the morning with breakfast, and once whenever you remember later in the day. Stays in the fridge. Taste a bit like juice. A juice that I will drink FOREVER if it helps with hair growth. I’ve been on this consistently for a week, and will keep you up to date. But, I HIGHLY recommend grabbing a bottle for yourself as it helps with hair, skin, nails, and joint health. Yes, please! Click here to check out their website.

FIVE

And, last but not least, this is my life right now. Anyone else? TWENTY-ONE days until Christmas, y’all! WOOHOO!

*******

Have the best weekend. Stay safe, healthy, and enjoy the Christmas magic! XO
